Common neighbourhood disputes such as disagreements about fences, barking dogs, trees and noisy parties can be solved in various ways.
If you are unable to resolve the matter by discussion (and mediation does not help) then you may be able to complain to a relevant authority or take legal action.
For dividing fence matters, peace and good behaviour orders, most boundary disputes and some other proceedings (including some nuisance matters) there is currently no government authority able to assist. Therefore, if you are unable to amicably resolve a dispute you must take legal action. |
Poor interpersonal relationships are often the cause of a commercial dispute. Successful dispute resolution does benefit from early intervention with a view to achieving a commercial outcome.

u |
explain what your options are |
u |
discuss the most favourable action |
u |
act on your behalf, keeping you fully informed every step of the way |
Motor Vehicle Accidents
If you are involved in a motor vehicle accident, regardless of who you believe is at fault, you should contact a solicitor for advice on your possible rights to compensation and your legal obligations.
At the accident scene you must remain at the accident scene and you should: |
u |
Phone a doctor or ambulance if anyone is injured
u |
Notify the police if anyone is injured or if the total damage to vehicles or other property is more than $2500.00
u |
After seeking approval from the police if they attend, clear the road of any glass or debris from damaged vehicles as soon as you can do so safely
u |
Not admit fault
u |
Write down details of other vehicles involved
u |
Talk to witnesses and take their details
u |
Note the time, date and location
It is extremely important that you do not admit fault until you have obtained legal advice.
After the accident you should advise your compulsory third party insurer and comprehensive property insurer about the accident and obtain a claim form and submit to each.
If there is a disagreement about who is at fault or there are problems due to vehicles’ being uninsured, you should immediately contact us as we can handle the details for you.
Please feel free to contact us on your rights and obligations regarding property damage. |
